Note:
This set was created using version 2.07. You must have the most
current version of ADC2 to use this module. You can download the
newest version of ADC2 from WWW.hpssims.com or contact HPS direct.

Getting Started
Copy the folder and all included files into your ADC2 directory. It is
suggested that Wave of Terror folder be kept in ADC2's 'Game Sets'
folder. You must know how to use the ADC2 program, and own a copy
of the game "Wave of Terror".

Setup
One .ops file is included. It contains all the units from both sides
initially on map. When a setup radius is possible, a marker containing
this information is present in the stack. German "A" units are off-
board on the East edge of the map.

The Allied player should do his setup first, use the Fog of War rule
(see below), clear the replay and send the file to the German player
who should do the same, clear the replay and start the game.

Counters
You will not find Clear Skies (5.3), Victory Points (4.0) or Turn
counters. See below for how to record this information in the game.
Otherwise, all units and markers for the game are present (OOS,
Control, Bridges...). Bridges and Construction markers are the only
units for which you can designate a facing.

Flip sides were defined where appropriate. Note that because the
game has no replacements, no flip sides for 1 step units were created
(to denote the gain of 1 step).

Class Values
The class values displayed in order A. B. C. D. are:
A. Attack Factor
B. Defense Factor
C. Movement Factor
D. Steps

The Class type field also contains the factors of the unit, in that same
order. Some class names bear a lettered suffix (a, b, c...) to help
distinguish between identical unit sides with different flipsides.

Artillery units have a "*" in the Attack field to denote Bombardment
Strength (10.23). Each has a "DONE" side defined, just like the paper
counters.

Piece Identification
Units have been identified by their unit divisional or regimental
designation, just like in the game.

Notes on Playing the Game

Fog of War (7.3)
Both players can use the Hidden units feature. In order to abide by
rule 7.3, at least 1 unit has to be revealed (the top one). All the
other units in the stack can be Hidden by double-clicking on the
desired unit's M/C/H field on the Select Pieces for Action window then
clicking on the red hidden status section in the unit's Edit Piece Value
and Information window. Use the same procedure to manually reveal
a unit. Mark the box ('This unit on top')of the non hidden unit so that
it stays on the top of the stack. It is the responsibility of the owning
player to apply this rule properly.

All hidden units still show on map with a generic symbol and they are
listed in the Unit list window by the "unknown/hidden" designation.

Reveal range for both players is set at 50. When a unit is selected for
combat, it becomes revealed. Once revealed, a unit has to be
manually hidden again as described above to take advantage of the
fog of war rule.

Note: No units placed on board by both players automatically gets
hidden status when the Hidden units option is checked. This means
you have to edit this field as needed each time a unit is placed on
board in a stack. This will be required during initial setup or from a
pool.

Turn Record, Couplets and Weather
There is no Turn Record Track. Instead, use the Next Turn/Set Turn
feature under the Game menu. You will find there the turn numbers,
Couplets numbers and Clear Skies (5.3) probabilities.

GT1-1 means Game Turn 1, Couplet 1. You may even edit the Turn
name further by adding (F/M) or (M/F) [Fight/Move, Move/Fight] as
appropriate. You may also note there if Clear Skies is in effect.

Victory Points
In the Pools list, there is a Victory Points pool containing a VP marker.
When a VP is scored, select the marker and choose Edit Info to
change the value of the Points field.

Allied Ground Support
Allied Air units are to be found in the Allied Ground Support pool.

Allied POL Depots (3.7 and 6.17)
The 4 POL counters are setup together with the Belgian guards. When
the Allied player does its setup, he simply flips back all 4 POL units.
They will all show the same name and symbol (POL?), thus the
identity of the "real" POL depot will be unknown to the German
Player.

Reinforcements
All reinforcements are in a pool named according to their entry
information. For example, the poll "Allied 3W" contains all Allied units
scheduled to enter on Turn 3 from the West edge of the board, as per
section 8.0.
