Getting Started
Copy the folder and all included files into your ADC2 directory. It is suggested
that Iron Dream folder be kept in ADC2's 'Game Sets' folder. You must know
how to use the ADC2 program, and own a copy of the game Iron Dream.

Class Values
All units have their class values defined in their class name in the format:

Country Attack Factor-Defense Factor-Movement Allowance/Flip side.

Flip side of 1 means the front, full strength side of the counter is up. Flip side
2 means the counter has been flipped to the weaker side. Units also have the
following class values set as class data.

1.	Attack Factor
2.	Defense Factor
3.	Movement Allowance

Flip Definitions
All two sided counters have flips defined. Units that are flipped to their
backside and then flipped again will return to their front side, so be careful
when flipping stacks. Note that the weather condition counter flips through all
types, and the turn maker flips through two German couplets and then 2
Soviet couplets.

Stacking
No stack symbols have been created or stacks defined. Players should use
the pull down menu: Game/Mapboard Display Options/Symbols per Hex and
set the zoom levels to show 4 units per hex if they prefer on-map display of
stacks.

Pieces have been created so that the following stacking is automatically
implemented:

Markers
Air
Soviet Specialist Units
Panzer, Tank, and Mechanized Units
Mountain Infantry
Shock Armies
Infantry
Forts

Reinforcements
All reinforcements have been placed on the map reinforcement track.

Pools
Pools have been created to hold units, markers, destroyed and removed units.

Scenarios
Four Scenario .OPS files have been included:
Iron Dream Campaign.OPS
Iron Dream Campaign Sample.OPS
Iron Dream 1942 Campaign.OPS
Iron Dream 1942 Campaign Sample.OPS

The Campaign Sample OPS files have all units deployed in case you feel that
it is easier to move units around the map than place them from the pool. The
sample setups should be reviewed carefully as they probably will not reflect
the player's own strategy. The "regular" Campaign files only have those units
deployed that are given specific locations. Other units are located in the
appropriate pools by setup areas. Be sure to read the scenario setup
instructions, as some units can be deployed within an area (ie Moscow) in
which case you can move them as you see fit. In the 1942 Campaign Sample
.OPS for the same, the German units that must be flipped have NOT been.
It's your decision.

After setting up the game and saving it, you can use the mapeditor and
change the size of the start and setup area hexsides to zero to decrease map
clutter.

Infopages
No infopages have been created because of disk space limitations, although
BMP files of all the charts have been included. You can use these to make
your own infopages. Or better yet, just open them using Paintbrush and
multi-task while playing ADC2 Iron Dream. This gives you greater flexibility
in displaying the charts than the infopage function does.

Hidden Units:
Hidden units are have been implemented. To de-activate, edit each player
and uncheck the "Use Hidden Units for this Player" box to. You can also
change the sighting range if desired or uncheck the default hidden unit
symbol to make units truly invisible.

For proper use of the dummy supply concentrations a little work is required
because ADC2 makes the back side of units invisible to both players. If you
flip a unit to see what it is, the other player will see also. Here's how to do it.
Look on the reinforcement track and note that the real supply concentration
and the dummy are in the same box on the reinforcement track. The dummy
unit is always before the real unit. Flip both units. Then give each a different
specific piece name which you can remember which is the real one and which
is the dummy. The replay will the flipping, but not the naming process. This
will keep the German in the dark as to the location of the dummy unit. The
piece name you gave it will keep it clear to you.
