Grant Takes Command ADC2 Gameset Notes

**Manpower, Combat Value, and Fatigue
One nice advantage to using the ADC2 version of GTC, is that you don't have to lug around extra counters showing Manpower values, or Fatigue values. Simply click on any unit, a unit window will pop up, then double-click on the "Piece Values" column for that unit. You will then be able to edit/and or change Manpower values, combat values, and Fatigue values. For the advances game, the fourth "A" value is used with the optional Ammunition rule.

To see quickly what a particular units Manpower, Combat, and Fatigue values are, just move your cursor over the unit.

There is a quick look up table under the "Info Pages" pull down menu. It shows what a disorganized Manpower to Combat Value ratio is. For example, in the Manpower Value column (MV), it may show a 5, however the combat value (CV) for that disorganized unit is only 3.

**Command, Tactical, and Artillery Values
Each unit has been assigned class values also. They are the command they are assigned to (II Corps, V Corps, 1-Cavalry, etc..), the Tactical Value of the unit (T1, T2, etc..), and the Artillery Value (A1, A2, etc..).
Generals have their Tactical Values and their Command Values listed.

**Entrenchments
Entrenchments in this game start at Abatis and go all the way up to Fort. The counters themselves flip right up the chain. For example, and Abatis flips to Breastwork Build, which flips to a breastwork, which flips to Fort Build 1. etc. In other words, they are not the reciprocal flip sides of themselves.

**Advanced Game Players
You will find most of the advanced game markers in the pools. Use the "Next Turn or Edit Turn Name" functions to name each turn as it comes up. Some of us even like to type in the date or particular situation if it arises (CSA Paralysis, rain, etc..)

**County Control
In the upper right hand corner of the map is a schematic to keep track of who controls what county. You can also put duplicate depots in these spaces to help keep track of supply. Remember not all counties connect, and please please please do not let the rebels burn your depots.

**Upton Marker
The Upton marker is near the game turn track.

**Reinforcements - Pools
Reinforcements for particular scenarios are located in the pools.

Special thanks to all that contributed to this gameset, particulary Ed Beach and Jim Pyle. I only did half the work on this set. And thanks again to Ed, Joe B, and all who do the wonderful work of creating this game series.

Please email me if you find any errors, or have any suggestions on how to improve these gamesets.
thanks
